It has no means to make a noise. It has no speaker or buzzer connections into the headphone ports.
Feel free to ask questions. I've had mine for a long time and put belt in it about 6-8 years ago plays well, but sometimes super fast speed. Someone must have not sent a memo to the clock team or audio engineers.
Here is one of the really cool Sony AF-58 walkman cassette players. The little solar cell charges a flat nicked battery that runs clock. Its a funny technical goof.
As I was doing this noticed that the entire clock is self contained. So, Sony came out with this guy, the AF-58 features am fm radio, 2 headphone plugs, and namesake solar clock. I found the headphones after tested it out, so don't know they work or not. If you win buy multiples.
But when I got mine noticed something curious. However, it always fixes when you open and close the cassette door. I see where i've taped the cord in a few places, so it may or not. The reason I know that is solar alarm clock an entirely separate module than cassette player.
Back in the day, when solar walkman came out, it was and still is way too expensive for normal people to own. I always laughed when used it. I replaced mine about 5 years ago. This had te be designed by several groups of engineers in japan.
I had to have one.
