I would not suggest using this unit for portable applications. The battery compartment is clean and corrosion free. I do not have the correct 9v power cord so i'm able to test dc input.

When it is first turned on makes a ing noise that stops once the cd begins spinning. I had no problems with any CDs skipping when tested the unit and it sitting on a stable, flat surface.

This cd player has been tested and works surprisingly well for its age. Although the device is considered portable it will skip if jostled around. The lid latches and opens easily both headphone line out jacks work great.

This cd player runs on 6 AA batteries not included and features 8 times oversampling an extended bass system. Gets you noticed.

The case has some light scratches but no significant issues.

I try to get things sent out the same day if possible. The device plays, pauses, and skips tracks both forward backward properly.
