Takes 2 c cell batteries. We put a cassette in it, and it played at the right speed volume couldn't be turned to full blast without some distortion, but does play that would great for desktop or similar use.

You decide the quality and value. Battery compartments were also clean with no sign of use.

We couldn't find another one like it on the internet. Tested and works great.
