It has been tested for optical transfer and I am the original purchaser of this cable rectangular-shaped oak connector is standard still widely used. This cable is in its original packaging with everything that came it originally, including instruction sheet. Shipping within the continental USA only.

If you are a collector, this is great find to add your mz-1 collection as the was very first mini disc unit on market. It has the mini jack optical male connector that matches duel purpose input and output jacks on mz-1. The other end is typical connection for most DAT machines of same era. There is minor shelf wear of the packaging.
