It has a battery in it but that may have to be replaced due to age. There are scratches on the back of the unit from being set down outside of it's protective bag but the unit is in good condition as you can see in the pictures.
It has been in storage for over 10 years. Any universal adaptor would power this player it was in working condition before being put into climate controlled storage so I would still expect it to work fine.
