The battery case does not have a rechargeable in it, but contacts are super clean also accepts 4 AA batteries as an alternative. The docking station obviously has its own cord for ac 110 use so can power if using on a desktop, etc.

Case is also near mint with no significant wear. It has been tested with AA batteries works excellent. Includes XR-9457 player, RCA-200 ac docking station, bu-200 battery case carrying. All components are near mint overall cosmetically.

This listing is for one extremely clean in excellent working condition vintage Toshiba model XR-9457 portable cd player with accessories. A super clean system that is mostly complete in beautiful, excellent working condition. I do not have the remote control nor small cable that would attach from docking station to battery pack for recharging.
